The Imam Ali Research Center is pleased to announce the selection of three scholars for this year's fellowship cohort, representing institutions from Canada, the United Kingdom, and Pakistan.
IARC fellow Dr. Yasmin al-Rashid's annotated Arabic-English critical edition of administrative epistles from the Nahj al-Balagha is now available through our publications page.
This year's Annual Imam Ali Lecture, titled "Justice and Leadership in the Alid Tradition," was attended by over eight hundred participants in person and thousands more via livestream.
The Center has received a two-year grant from the NEH to support digitization of its rare manuscript collection and development of a publicly accessible online archive.
IARC will host a two-day scholarly symposium bringing together ten leading historians and theologians to examine Imam Ali's administrative and judicial legacy during his caliphate.
Beginning in January, the Center will host a monthly webinar series offering close readings of Imam Ali's aphorisms as collected in the Ghurar al-Hikam, open to all community members.
